Adventures + recipes from The Perennial Plate

Chef and Grist contributor Daniel Klein posted a delicious looking recipe for a winter salad using hydroponically grown greens, local and seasonally grown produce. I'm not making it sound that cool, but it is. Klein also interviews the farmers at Dragsmith Farms, an organic vegetable and microgreen farm in Minnesota.

It's all part of his Perennial Plate project, where "he hunts, farms, and cooks his way through a year in Minnesota." Here's the episode I mentioned:

I wish I came across his project sooner but glad I found it and can now try out some of the recipes on his site and follow his progress.
