Love her or hate her, Oprah Winfrey is a powerful woman. She has the ability to set trends and make once-unknown individuals famous in less than 24 hours. I don't often watch her, but I did happen to catch Michael Pollan on her show.
Hopefully his appearance with Winfrey will draw the attention of millions of individuals who need to know the reality of their food choices. And, no, not the amount of fat or carbs, but harmful handling, pesticide application and the manipulative nature and marketing measures of agribusiness.
