Obama's first 100 days: Crucial time for food + farm policy

President Obama faces a rigorous next few weeks in hopes of getting America back on track and headed toward a sustainable future. While the economy, the failing(ed) military actions in Iraq and Afghanistan and energy dependence are of top priority, the interests of foodies, locavores and other food advocates are not to be left off the radar.

American Farmland Trust has launched it's "9 in '09" campaign, a list of policy measures and mitigation
efforts that will promote and institutionalize heathful farm, food and environmental practices.

It's pretty cool to finally have a president who appreciates good food.
